‘’Something New’’
By: Trevis Earls

Have you been new at something? I have, but I was not worried. When I got there the coach for baseball met us. He told me how to hit and serve. First, you serve the ball. Then it starts to get easy. Have it in one hand, then hit! If the ball comes to you hit it high!
My coach for baseball was there to help me. I got scared for a moment, but he was there to cheer me up. The ball came straight to me! I did not know what to do. My coach then told me to hit the ball. I hit the ball and my team got the point. It made me so happy that we won the game three times in a row.
After we won the first game I felt excited. I then bought myself a soda. The other team wanted a rematch. “I’m surprised!” I said to my coach. When we began, I was very nervous. In the middle, the score was tied 11 to 11. The game was over and we won.
How did they treat me? They treated me like a king. I was M.V.P for the game! It was fantastic to feel like a winner. Then we shook their hands. My coach told me to keep the good work up. Then at practice I did it again. I hope to be the best of the best. That’s why I practice a lot. It may be hard in the beginning to start something new, but it will change.
