Something New

Have you ever been new to something? I was new on the majorette team. When I was first there, I felt a little hesitation. Some of the people helped me feel relaxed and calm. I became better and ready to start.
Since I was eight, I wanted to be on a majorette team. When I first tried out for the team I was anxious to get a uniform, and batons. At first my mother was worried because she thought I wouldn’t like it, but turns out I liked it a lot.
When I was there, my coach Ms. Jeannie explained everything to me. She also told me some of the girls’ names, but all I remembered was Anya, Maquel, and Brittany. They became my best friends. Some of the people treated me mean and others treated me nice.
After all that I have been through with the majorette team, I’m still on it, and love it!
