Have you had to go to a new school before? I have, like the time I had to go to Lucile Cherbonnier Elementary. I was so scared. Will they have good teachers? Good people? What people would I talk to? Know what I mean?
Come to see, my teachers are not that bad. My homeroom teacher, Mrs. Driscoll is nice and down to earth, and put together real good. She gave me good welcome. My other teacher, Mrs. Battiste has a good since of humor and also gave me a good welcome. After meeting my teacher, I was thinking about friends. Will I have some or would I just be alone this year? Come to find out, I would have a friend and more.
It’s good to have friends that like the same things as you. Just because I had some friends, did not mean that everybody liked me. Yes, they did still have people that did not like me. They might come up and say, “What’s up,” but that didn’t mean that we were friends. Then doors started to open up. I saw I was making better grades, and people now saw me for me. Starting something new can be a new beginning.
