iLEAP, uLEAP, weLEAP when we master the test!

April 12th-16th are important days for us. We take the iLEAP test and have the intentions on mastering it! Outside our class we designed creations displaying the reasons why we will master the iLEAP...take a close look and you will see why we are ready to master this test!

Ned comes to visit us!

Ned travels all around the nation to prepare students for mastering test! With our iLEAP coming up, Ned encouraged us to try our best and never give up. Our own 5th grader Hailey B. was chosen as a volunteer for Ned's questions. She did an awesome job. Wen want to thank our school Social Worker Mrs.Moffett for bringing Ned to our school, he was excited to listen to and he showed us cool yo-yo tricks!

And the Social Studies Fair 2010 winners are...

Both 5th grade homerooms went home as winners on Thursday January 21, 2010! They placed 1st place in their Social Studies Fair Projects on economics and the amazing details of The White House. We were able to learn how important it is to become young entrepreneurs and study our nation's White House. All of us played a major role in each project, so we are excited to share the victory with each other!

MLK Celebration 2010

This celebration was a great chance to learn more about Dr.Martin Luther King Jr. We had a guest speaker who recited the famous "I Have a Dream" speech. When he spoke, it reminded us how important is to be desegregated. Two 5th grade students, Bailee Lewis and Glenwood Hunter spoke to a large audience of students about Dr.King's leadership skills. They did a great job! We look forward to learning more about this leader.
